Katherine Mae Childs
GARDINER – Katherine Mae Childs of Gardiner passed away on the morning of May 1, 2022 in her home in Albion of small-cell lung cancer.
Kathy was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Richard Monroe, Sr.; as well as her brother, John A. Monroe and survived by her brother, Richard Monroe, Jr. She is survived by four children, Heather Tenney, James M. Childs, Christina L. Childs and Deven Childs; as well as six grandchildren. She also leaves behind the one she chose to spend her days with, who then chose to care for her in her final days, her partner, Gregory B. Frey.
There will be a celebration of life on Sunday, May 22 between 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. in the Gardiner Common on Dresden Avenue, Gardiner. If you would like to attend please contact Laura at 207-320-8904. Please RSVP.
