I strongly support Deb Large’s candidacy to represent Farmingdale on the Regional School Unit 2 school board.
I worked with Deb for 18 years and know she’ll keep students squarely in the center of each decision before the board. She has always been a fierce student advocate, recognizing unique gifts and working tirelessly to help them reach their goals.
Deb is honest, accessible, and determined to find common ground. She will make tough choices and share them with her constituents, knowing some may be unpopular.
Her leadership in various union roles will assist with contract negotiations. She understands the balance between maintaining a fair professional environment for teachers and the ability of taxpayers to absorb the rising costs of education. She became a skilled grant writer to supplement her music budget rather than asking taxpayers for more funding.
Finally, Deb is a parent and grandparent to children in RSU 2, giving her a personal stake in the direction of our schools. Please give her your vote.
