River Arts of Damariscotta has announced a call for artists for the 2022 Members’ Show.

The non-juried exhibition is scheduled to run from Tuesday, June 14, through Saturday, July 23. All members are invited to submit one piece.

River Arts invites new members to join. The Members’ Show celebrates the talent of River Arts’ member artists and showcases the wide range of art being created in Maine, according to a news release on the exhibition.

River Arts Gallery welcomes all media, including painting, sculpture, fiber, photography, ceramics, original print making, drawing, encaustic and pastel. Works can be representational or abstract.

The Members’ Show offers an opportunity for artists to submit work that best represents their personal style.

This salon-style show requires a limit of 30 inches in any direction, including frame, for all wall pieces. Works can be delivered to the gallery during regular hours until the 4 p.m. deadline on Saturday, June 11.

There is no entry fee for members. River Arts annual membership is $60 for individuals or $90 for a household. All submitted works must be for sale, and River Arts retains 35% commission on sold works. Forms are available in the gallery or at riverartsme.org.

An opening reception is planned from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 18, at the 36 Elm St. gallery.
