House District 55 Democrats have a tough decision choosing between the two quality candidates running to replace Rep. Charlotte Warren. Both have longstanding histories of community involvement, competence, and integrity. I believe that Dan Shagoury will be more effective representing our towns. After 19 years of experience navigating the complexities of state government, Dan can hit the ground running.

Dan also has been an advocate for lowering health care costs and improving quality in his role on the board of Consumers for Affordable Health Care. He is committed to improving education and served on the Hallowell school board for nine years, becoming familiar with the challenges faced by public schools, including the financial struggles often generated by inconsistent state funding policies.

If you live in Hallowell, Manchester, or West Gardiner, don’t forget to vote in the June primary. Read about the candidates and make your choice. Mine will be Dan Shagoury.
