Clyde Libby Jr.

MADISON – It is with sad hearts we announce that Clyde Libby Jr., 78, has passed away [COPD] peacefully at his home in Madison with his loved ones by his side, on May 20, 2022. He was born June 25, 1943, the oldest of five siblings born to Clyde Libby Sr. and Phyllis {Padham} LibbyHe worked many years in woolen mills, and 25 plus years at New Balance in Norridgewock until he retired in 2011. He was a great provider for his family.He married Janice Young in North Anson on April 28, 1962. They remained married until her passing on Oct. 18, 2013.His greatest accomplishments was his family. He was a kid at heart himself. He liked picking parties, playing his guitar, listening to old country music, riding his motorcycle, and working on old cars. Clyde loved spending time with his family.Clyde is survived by his brothers, Truman aka Boots, James [Judy], Barry [Debbie] and brother-in-law Scott Fellows.Clyde is also survived by his companion Patricia True of Madison; his children, John Libby, Rhonda York [Dave], Tracy Dube [Nelson], Ricky Libby [Dena]; his grandchildren, Jason, Sarai, Luke, Matt, Jessica, Josh, Ryan, Mike, Alesia, Aric, Summer; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He would be there anytime one of us needed him. He was a special man.He was predeceased by wife Janice Libby, his sister Kitty Fellows, sister in-law J.P. Libby; daughter Pamela Shorey, daughter-in-law Linnie Libby; grandson Joshua York; and great-granddaughter Aniyah Linn Libby.Funeral will be at Gibersons Funeral Home on Maple St., Madison, on June 11, 2022 at 11 a.m. Graveside service will follow immediately after. Gathering of loved ones will be announced at the funeral.
