LARGO, Fla. – On May 31, 2022, Sandra Alice (Drummond) Lewis passed away at her home in Largo, Fla. after several years of failing health.Sandra was the youngest child of Donald and Loretta Drummond, born on Sept. 10, 1956. Sandra went to school in Hallowell, graduated from Hall-Dale High School and University of Maine in Augusta. Sandra retired from the State of Maine with the Judicial System after 38 years of service. She sold her family home in West Gardiner and moved to Florida to enjoy some fun in the sun at Palm Hill Country Club in Largo, Fla.For the past four years she made some wonderful friends and was able to take many trips that Palm Hill had to offer. She would return to Maine in the summer to visit her family and friends.She married her high school sweetheart, Burleigh Lewis, and together they had two children, Jamie Lynn and Burleigh “DJ”.She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Ronald Drummond; her husband, Burleigh; her daughter, Jamie; two nieces, Rebecca Jane Johnson, Stephanie Gabriel. She is survived by her son, Burleigh “DJ” Lewis and his companion, Crystal Fox; grandchildren Sabrina and her husband Logan, Savannah Green, Emileigh Lewis; one great-granddaughter, Katherine; sisters Donna Emmanuel, Joyce Johnson and husband Butch, Carol Stevens and husband Jim, Nedra Jones and husband Harold; many nieces, nephews; and cousins; and one very special aunt, Gloria Carey.A graveside service will take place at a later date at Fairbanks Cemetery, West Gardiner.
