Phyllis A. Wells
AUGUSTA – Phyllis A. Wells, 81, of Augusta, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Granite Hill Estates, Hallowell.
Our grateful appreciation goes out to the Memory Care staff at Granite Hill for the exceptional care and consideration that was extended to Phyllis during her residency there, especially so as her life drew to a close.
Phyllis was born Dec. 18, 1940, the second daughter of George and Olive Dewald. Her family moved from Ohio to Maine in the late 1950s where Phyllis attended Rockland High School, graduating with honors in 1958. In 1961, Phyllis met and married her husband, Bob Wells, who predeceased her in 2010. Together they devoted their lives to serving Jehovah God as active members of the Augusta Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Phyllis was predeceased by her parents George and Olive Dewald; and her younger sister, Diane (Deedee) Tocarchick.
She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Palazzo of Westlake, Ohio.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 16 at 1:30 p.m. A slide presentation followed by the service at 2 p.m. will be conducted via Zoom.
