Stephen M. Moore

AUGUSTA – Stephen M. Moore “Reno” died Friday June 3, 2022 from injuries sustained in a car accident in Augusta.Steve was born on July 15, 1990 to Kelly and Deanna Moore. He came into this world fast and furious, exactly like he lived his life. He attended Augusta schools until he obtained his G.E.D. in 2008. Stephen met life’s obstacles as mountains, most people would go around, he would lace his boots and climb over it. He never took the easy way and he never met a tattoo that didn’t help tell his journey. But he did all of this with his crooked smile and a gleam in his eye. During this past week I have heard 100 stories of how Steve was always there to help someone in need, I saw envelopes sent to his friends far away with two dollars in it, he said at least I can buy them a cup of coffee. Over the last few years he made connections with his brother and sisters, a bond that will never be broken. He was a proud dad of his two sons, Steve Jr. and Liam Moore, being a part of their lives even though it was greatly shortened. They would often share the joy of fishing. He had a special bond with Khalia Lovell, there was such a mischievous link of laughter and pranks. He never missed a gymnastic meet and could not wait to brag about her scores and ribbons. He was ecstatic to be learning a new trade and recently acquired his subcontractors insurance to further his career. Any chance a job needed a new tool his eyes would glint with the excitement of a new Milwaukee tool to be added to his ever growing collection. Stephen is survived by his children Stephen Jr. and Liam Moore; parents Kelly Moore, Deanna and Mark Walker; grandfather, Raymond C. Burks; siblings Micole Moore and partner Thomas McGuire, Matthew Moore and partner Mindy McDonald, Mandy (Moore) Massey and husband Christopher Massey; his half-siblings Jody Moore, Joshoa Moore, Jason Moore and Jerad Moore, stepsister, Brooke Walker; special friends Maranda and Khalia Lovell; bountiful uncles, aunts; nieces, nephews; and too many friends to list. He was predeceased by grandparents Buster and Leola Moore, grandmothers Phyllis Chamberlain and Terry Burks; stepsiblings Bo and Maranda Walker. A graveside service will be held at Scribner Hill Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. on June 25. A reception will follow at the Manchester Grange at 943 Western Ave. Condolences, stories and photos may be shared at the funeral home website, http://www.plummerfh.com
