Alison Faulkner Ernst Plummer

MANCHESTER – On June 20, 2022, Alison Faulker Ernst Plummer, loving wife and mother, passed away at the age of 78. Fondly known as “Ali”, she was born May 24, 1944 in Montpelier, Vt. to Alan and Marion Ernst of Augusta.

Alison attended Kentshill School and Boston University after which she worked in service organizations including the Maine Lung Association, Doctor’s Park with Dr. Terry Sheehan and the library at Central Maine Power.

Alison married Mark Plummer May 29, 1982. Alison had a love of people, her closest friends, laughing, sharing and giving wonderful support to all those around her. Alison enjoyed her friendship with former President George Bush and his wife. Alison lived with Multiple Sclerosis for more than 40 years with tremendous courage and grace.

Alison enjoyed thrift store fashion finds, visiting with her loved ones, and being on the water on the lake. She was mischievous, humorous and always quick to give something away to support someone else. All those who knew Ali felt her love and tender heart.

Alison was preceded in death by her mother and father Marion and Alan Ernst; her sisters Jean Herron, Carol Ernst, her brother James Ernst; and her nephew Christopher Herron. Alison is survived by her son and daughter Rick and Suzanne Trahey; her husband Mark Plummer; and as well her nieces Abigail Herron, Mariah Ernst and nephew, Patrick Herron.
