SOLON – Leon Hilton, 91, of Solon, passed away on June 18, 2022 at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington.

Leon was born in Embden on Sept. 30, 1930, the son of Virgil and Lillian Hilton. He attended local schools, following graduation he enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps, proudly serving his country during the Korean War.

Returning home he owned and operated Hilton’s Exxon for many years later he owned and operated the NAPA store in Bingham for 20-plus years.

He was predeceased by his parents Virgil and Lillian Hilton; his daughter, Mary-Anne, sons Michael, Gene and Donald; by his sisters Phyllis and Jean as well as brother, Ted.

Leon is survived by his son, Terry Hilton and his wife Heidi, son, Dan and his wife Casey; as well as two grandchildren, Michael and Hannah.

Please join the family for a Celebration of Life at the Solon Masonic Hall on July 8 at 12 p.m.

Per his wishes a private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
