Disclaimer: I am a practicing Catholic.

On June, 24, the U.S. Supreme Court issued a decision that overturned the 1973 Supreme Court decision known as the Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion in the U.S. It must be emphasized that this decision did not make abortion illegal in this country, rather it returned, to quote yesterday’s decision “that authority to the people and their elected representatives.” Anticipating this, Gov. Mills has been making it clear in her re-election ads for the last month or so that she will protect abortion in Maine.

(By the way, I got the check. Thanks.)

Despite all the damage done to pro-life pregnancy centers, to Catholic churches and those of other denominations, and threats on the life of Justice Kavanaugh in the last few months, which activities will probably increase, these facts remain: Life begins at conception; this is a medical fact, not a religious one. At the instant of conception that which has been conceived begins to grow, so if it’s growing it’s alive.
