FARMINGTON – Albenie Michaud, 96, died June 29, 2022. He was resident at Sandy River Healthcare Facility in Farmington.
Albenie was born Sept. 29, 1926, in Madawaska, Maine, the son of Willie and Alma (Cyr) Michaud.
He loved listening to country music and in his younger days was an avid fisherman and loved to have a garden. He was a long time resident of New Britain, Connecticut. In his retirement, from being a machinist he and his wife moved to Solon, Maine.
He was predeceased by his wife of 66 years Anne (Bernier) Michaud.
He leaves his is daughters Linda Gittleman of Bingham, and Barbara Vandermark and husband Cornelius of Conn., his sons, Paul Michaud and wife Kat of Oklahoma, Robert Michaud of Conn. and Gerald Michaud Solon.
He also leaves his grandchildren John Cahill, Shannon Turner, Derrick Gittleman, Corey Gittleman and wife Alicia, Monica Michaud, Mary Michaud. He had eight great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Please join the family for a time of visitation from 12 to 2 p.m., on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Giberson Funeral Home, 18 River Street, Bingham. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:30 p.m., at St. Peter’s Church , Owens Street in Bingham. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Solon.
