Wayne Steward Sr.

CONCORD TOWNSHIP – Wayne Steward Sr., 81, went to heaven on June 19, 2022. He was born in Bingham on Oct. 17, 1940 the son of the late Stanley and Stella Steward. He attended Bingham High School and participated in the last log drive on the Kennebec River.

He was employed at Chesebrough Ponds and then for 34 years at Stanley Bostich in Clinton, Conn. He loved to fish, play chess and pool. He was a member of the Skowhegan-Madison Elks club for 14 years. He loved to meet new people and make them his friends.

He was married to Lorraine (Miller) Steward

for 27 years. He is survived by his loving wife, his brother Stanley and wife Patricia, His step daughter Kay Small of Bingham; his step granddaughter Angel Caron and husband Todd of Bangor, his step grandson Adam Small and wife Kerrie of Sabattus; along with many nieces nephews; and cousins.

Wayne was predeceased by his son, Wayne Steward Jr.; by his brother, Norwood Steward and his sister Kay.

Many thanks to all the nurses from Home Care and Hospice, the doctors and nurses at Bingham Health Center, and Dr. Redding.

A graveside service will be held at Cassidy Cemetery in Concord on July 9, at 1 p.m.
