AUGUSTA – Brent W. Esancy, 59, died Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta after a brave battle with cancer.

He was born in Brunswick on Jan. 10, 1963, to Lloyd and Lorraine (DeBlois) Esancy.

Brent grew up in Warwick, Rhode Island where he graduated from Tollgate High School. He was very active in his youth and enjoyed bowling and playing golf, volleyball, softball and baseball. His entire life revolved around sports, and even after he stopped participating in sports later in life he watched EVERY sport he could on television.

Brent’s family would like to thank his close friends, and they know who they are, who helped Brent out and kept in touch with him in the difficult times throughout his illness.

Brent was predeceased by his parents.

He is survived by his two brothers, Kevin Esancy of Warwick, R.I., and Keith Esancy and wife Katie of Atlantic Beach, Fla.; Nieces Tiffany Esancy and Brittany Esancy of West Warwick, R.I. and Kristina Esancy of Atlantic Beach, Fla. Nephew Kristopher Esancy of Atlantic Beach, Fla.

The family will celebrate Brent’s life in a private graveside service at a later date.
