BREWER – Joan O. Suhr, 87, passed away peacefully under Kindred Hospice Care at Woodland Senior Living of Brewer, on July 7, 2022, after suffering many years with dementia. Joan was born in Eagle Lake, Maine on Nov. 24, 1934, to Arthur and Esther (Mercier) Ouellette.

After moving to Burnham, with her family as a child she spent most of her younger years in the local area. She eventually moved to Sarasota, Fla., with her late husband Neil Wright then of Palmyra.

Joan was predeceased by her second husband John Al Suhr of Sarasota, Fla., also brothers Wilson Ouellette, Nelson Ouellette and Merlon Ouellette.

Joan leaves behind her sister Jeannette Chandler of Pittsfield, brother James and his wife Pat Ouellette also of Pittsfield, and brother Roland and his wife Sharon Ouellette of Greenville.

Joan also leaves behind her dear nieces Lisa Reid and Heidi Nigro both from New Hampshire as well as many other nieces and nephews, grandnieces and nephews and great-grandnieces and nephews.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Joan, her cheerful attitude and bright smile will be greatly missed by all.

A Catholic burial will take place sometime in the near future.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations on her

behalf be made to The Alzheimer’s Association.
