WATERVILLE — Police were still providing little information Monday about a shooting more than a week ago on Pleasant Street that left a man seriously injured.

Deputy Chief William Bonney of the Waterville Police Department said the injuries suffered by a man, who was transported to the Thayer Center for Health, were “serious but not life-threatening.”

Bonney declined to provide additional information, such as the circumstances surrounding the shooting, who fired the weapon or the identities of those involved. He said the shooting remains under investigation.

Police responded to Pleasant Street at about 3 a.m. on July 9 to reports of shots being fired.

County dispatching records indicate there were five calls to police of shots fired on or near Pleasant Street.
