AUGUSTA – Armande M. Aubut, 86, passed away July 10, 2022 at the Hospice House in Auburn. She was born in Woburn, Canada on May 3, 1936, a daughter of Armand J. and Marie A. (Roy) Lavigne.

Armande was employed as a seamstress at Hallowell Shoe Company for 20 years and was a communicant of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Augusta. She was married to Bertrand Aubut for 55 years before his passing in 2014.

She enjoyed knitting and sewing, crafting many treasured gifts throughout the years.

In addition to her husband, Armande was predeceased by her siblings, Luc-Lin Lavigne, and Norman Lavigne; and nieces, Marie-Anne Lavigne, and Leanne Hart.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Beverly Lavigne; and several nieces and nephews, including Monique Lavigne, Lisa Morin, and Patrick Lavigne, her Godchild.

A period of visitation will be held on Monday, July 25, 2022 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta, ME 04330, where a funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Holy Family Cemetery on Townsend Rd. in Augusta.
