Linda Jean (Powell) Roberts

HAINES CITY, Fla. – Linda Jean (Powell) Roberts, 76, of Haines City, Fla., died Sunday, July 17, 2022 with family by her side, at her son’s home in Saco.

She was born in Augusta, Maine, on Jan. 14, 1946, the daughter of Harold F. Powell and Barbara E. (Gerry) Powell.

After graduating from Cony High School, Linda worked in several positions in the administrative health care field before starting her own office services business. She also ran the membership organization of Maine’s Physician Assistants for more than 33 years.

Following the death of her beloved husband, Dana, in 2020, Linda became a full-time resident of Haines City, Florida, where she was very active with the Heartland RV Resort’s Social Activities Committee and served several terms on the board of directors.

She is survived by three sons, Dana Jr. and his wife Christine, Scott and his wife Cara, and Jason and his wife Theresa; three granddaughters, Sarah, Madison, and Isabelle; and five grandsons, Logan, Tyler, Ian, Ryan, and Joshua. She is also survived by several cousins and many loving nieces and nephews. Linda was predeceased by her parents, four brothers, and a sister. She always felt very blessed that she was surrounded by so many loving friends, both in Florida and in Maine.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 27, at 1 p.m., at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 163 Mt. Vernon Road, in Augusta, Maine. Linda will be buried alongside her husband, Dana.
