Helen Ann Moore

ANSON – We lost a piece of our heart July 16, 2022. Helen Ann Moore passed away with her family by her side. She was born April, 29, 1946 to Carroll and Flora Kinney. Helen has done it all from working side by side with her husband William in the woods, operating their store in Starks, bookkeeping for their logging business, up keeping a household to many, and being the best mother, mother n law and grandmother one could ask for.

Helen enjoyed many things: she enjoyed going out town to breakfast every morning (she would say it was for coffee, but we say it was to catch up on the latest gossip). You could find her and her sister-in-law Robin eating their way all over the state of Maine while saving a dollar couponing. Every Saturday night faithfully you could find Helen at the racetrack watching her son do what he loves most. Helen had a smile that would light up the room and her famous saying “it’s gonna be alright, don’t worry” is embedded into us. Helen had a comfort about her, and it did not matter if you were her child, grandchild, friend, or a stranger, you felt safe with her and new that everything was going to be alright.

Helen Ann Moore is survived by her husband of 47 years William Moore, children Kevin and Mary Libby, Kelly and Gene Cartwright, Monica and Garland Nile, Tim and June Libby, and Scott and Jill Moore. Many, many grandchildren and a few great grandchildren whom she loved endlessly. Helen was predeceased by her parents, sister Phyllis, brother Leland, sons Dwain, William Jr. and Howard Jr.

Please join us in celebrating Helen at William and Helen’s home, 302 West Mills Road, Anson, Sunday August 7, at noon.
