SKOWHEGAN – Clarice Elizabeth “Mom, Gram” Merrill, born June 18, 1931, passed away July 4, 2022, very fitting for the firecracker she was in life.

Mom came into this world with very special parents, Peter Marcue II and Estelle Perkins Marcue, two brothers Peter and Blynn, and three sisters Glenice, Pauline and Leona, all previously deceased.

She is survived by one adored sister Virginia Ray of Danbury Conn.; many nieces and nephews; two daughters Roxie Mathieu Parks and husband Rick, Ginny Merrill and husband Cliff Demmons, one very special almost son Al Longstaff; granddaughter Kim Mudie and husband Chris; great-granddaughter Roxauna Mullen; and great-great-grandson Dillon who helped her celebrate her 91st birthday doing cupcake patrol.

Mom died at Rick and Roxie’s home, surrounded by love, Rick being there the minute she took her last breathe while Kim and I were only a breathe away.

Although it goes against her wishes, her family needs to send her off with love and let her know how much she will be missed.

A graveside service will be at Sunset View Cemetery in Norridgewock, 10 a.m.,. Wednesday July 27, where her eternal rest will be with her husband Clyde Merrill. We will rejoice having you for 91 years, you are loved and will be forever missed. Until we meet again. Glad you were ours for a while.
