SKOWHEGAN – Donald “Bing” C. Steward, 85, passed away peacefully, July 7, 2022, at a Skowhegan nursing home. He was born in Skowhegan, June 4, 1937, the son of Donald and Charlene (Pierpoint) Steward.

Donald spent much of his adult life driving a dump truck. He loved spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed watching Red Sox games and NASCAR races on TV and going to horse races. He also loved just sitting on the front lawn with family and friends, enjoying a cold beer.

Donald is survived by his children, Donald G. Steward and wife, Toni, and their children, Tabatha and Nicholas, Ronald Steward, Steven Steward and partner, Jeff Phillips, Mark Steward, Kevin Steward and wife, Mary, and their children, Kimberley Stevens, Linda Weeks and Robert Weeks, Troy Steward, and Kimberly Teixeira and husband, Owen and their sons, Riley and Kody. Donald is also survived by his siblings, Dave “Bouncer” Steward, Bruce Steward, Scott Steward, Pam Beane, Sharon Wellman, Bonnie Wentworth, and Gail Perry; as well as many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Donald was predeceased by his wife of over 50 years, Vivian (Harrington) Steward; his brothers, Wayne Steward and Jimmy Steward; Danny Steward; and his sister, Betty McKinley.

A graveside service will be held August 6 at 3 p.m., at Forest Hill Cemetery in Madison.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Smart and Edwards Funeral Home 183 Madison Ave Skowhegan.
