Celebration Barn alumnus and Portland-based artist Dyer Rhoads will deliver an avant-garde style homecoming performance – Psychic Wolf: She’s Back! – with surprise guests at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6, at Celebration Barn in South Paris.

Dyer Rhoads stars in the show as alter-ego Psychic Wolf. While Dyer has spent time at the Barn as an artist honing their craft, Psychic Wolf has never even heard of the place. What transpires is a one-of-a-kind performance that defies categorization.

Dyer is an artist, writer, director, teacher, and performer. Dyer is a guest artist with Spindleworks. Dyer is also a dramaturg and production associate for Nile Harris, most recently on This House Is Not A Home: fill it with air call it self care/there’s a leak in this house, and for Cricket Brown on Hooters Play (as Tech Guy). They have also collaborated with and learned from Lincoln Center Education, the Children’s Theatre of Maine, Celebration Barn, Figures of Speech Theatre Company, Shakespeare & Co, and the North Carolina Symphony. Dyer is also Psychic Wolf, who works with an ever expanding community of collaborators to produce one-off performance events.

All patrons ages 5 and up attending a show at Celebration Barn must present proof of full vaccination against Covid-19. Adults are also required to show a matching photo ID. A booster shot, while recommended by the CDC, is not required in order to attend a show at this time. Attendees 4 and under are only required to wear a mask.

Tickets are available for $20 for adults, $15 for seniors (65+), and $10 for kids (17 and under). All tickets are general admission. The lobby and concessions open at 7 p.m. Purchasing tickets in advance is strongly recommended. To purchase tickets, visit celebrationbarn.com. Celebration Barn Theater is located just off Route 117 at 190 Stock Farm Rd., South Paris.
