Staff Writer Edward D. Murphy’s hand-wringing article (July 13) failed to mention that the lobstermen got a generous payment of 50 cents per pound of the catch in 2020.
This spring, lawmakers endorsed a $30 million relief fund for the industry.
Then, another $17 million in federal support.
Last month, we refunded their license fee.
No other industry has been lavished in this fashion.
