The Mt. Blue Garden Club plans to hold the last of its local summer garden tours at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, at Beth Myers’ property at 135 Marwick Road in Farmington. Myers also will share information about the recently added square foot garden beds.

Enchanted walking paths, vegetable rows, overflowing herb gardens, and raised beds abound in the private oasis, according to a news release from the club. There are about 100 different perennials thriving in conditions ranging from full sun to shade. Some grow near vernal pools while others flourish under the large variety of mature trees there.

All are invited to this free event. Light refreshments will be available, and people should bring a chair.

Those who would like to participate in the summer plant exchange can bring a potted or bagged bareroot plant to share from their own garden.
