FALMOUTH — University of Maine Cooperative Extension plans to hold a free Tidewater Farm field day at 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, at the Tidewater Farm demonstration gardens on Presumpscot Point Road in Falmouth.
Hands-on demonstrations about deadheading and extending the season include best practices for annuals and perennials, as well as late-season vegetables to plant and protections against frost are slated.
UMaine Extension staff and Master Gardener Volunteers will lead the event.
