BELGRADE – Colleen M. Tukey passed away peacefully on Aug. 5, 2022 at Maine General Rehabilitation and Long Term Care-Glenridge in Augusta at the age of 84.

She was born in Lisbon, Maine, on April 27, 1938, the daughter of Vincent and Lorena Simons. She lived in Belgrade most of her life.

Colleen was known by many in the Belgrade area. She worked various jobs throughout her life. She enjoyed cooking, going to the family beach, holidays, and gathering with friends and family. She especially loved her dogs and cats.

Colleen was predeceased by her husband Kenneth Tukey, only grandson Jackson Bolduc, one brother (Vincent) and five sisters (Patricia, Corinne, Julie, Kathleen, and Loretta).

Survivors include her four children, Wendy Bolduc and husband Dan of Belgrade, daughter Jean Tukey of Vassalboro, son Kenneth Tukey of Belgrade, son Christopher Tukey of Oakland, granddaughter Holly Bolduc and partner Matthew Knight of Rome, great grandson Kadin Caret and great granddaughter Winter Knight of Rome, sister Jean Zenzie of Florida and several nieces and nephews.

At Colleen’s request there will be no memorial service. She will be laid to rest at Pine Grove Cemetery in Belgrade beside her husband Ken.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at MGRLTC at Gray Birch and Glenridge, as well as Hospice for attending to our mom with compassion and care over the last couple of years.
