AUGUSTA – Scott A. Mills, 61, died unexpectedly Saturday, Aug. 6, 2022, at his home. He was born in Augusta, on Oct. 11, 1960, a son of the late Charles W. and Constance A. (Lajoie) Mills.

Scott was a graduate of Cony High School, class of 1979 and was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church.

He was employed by Riverside Disposal for several years. He had previously worked for the City of Augusta Public Works and O’Connor’s Heavy Truck Service.

Scott was an avid golfer and bowler and loved drag racing snowmobiles in summer, grass drags, and winter, especially winter which would keep his drinks colder longer.

He is survived by his son, Nickalaus S. Mills of Augusta; a brother, Gary T. Mills and his wife Kimberly of Augusta; two sisters: Susan P. Mills and her husband Richard Bonnett of Bowdoin and Karen A. Tracy and her husband David of Jefferson; two grandchildren: Blair and Wynter Mills of Augusta as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 4, from 1-4 p.m., at the Calumet Club, West River Road, Augusta.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta.
