Dianne M. Goodwin

PALMYRA – Dianne M. Goodwin, 85, died peacefully with her loving family surrounding her on August 10, 2022, in Bangor.

Dianne was born on July 25, 1937, in Hartland, Maine, a daughter of the late Peter and Sophie (Hamilton) Vicnaire. She attended Hartland Academy and worked many years as a nursing assistant and boarding home owner.

Dianne had a generous nature and was always caring for others. She loved being surrounded by her family, having parties, and especially enjoyed the Christmas season when everybody got together. She liked mowing her lawn, going to the races, crocheting, gambling, and putting puzzles together. She attended the Hartland Baptist church for many years.

She is survived by her six children, Chester Morse Jr and wife Anita of St. Albans, Ray-Allen Morse and wife Kristina of St. Albans, Debra Murch and husband Robert of Greene, Ricky Morse and wife Vicki of St. Albans, Douglas Morse and wife Kaitlyn of Oakland, and Cindy Neal and partner Yves Arel of Pittsfield; 22 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Jimmy Vicnaire of North Anson, Ann Tibbetts and husband Shannon of Athens, and Shirley Ainsworth of Alabama, sisters-in-law, Phylis and Rhoda; many nieces and nephews; and best friend, Linda Rhuda.

She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Robert Goodwin and brother, Peter Vicnaire.

The family will received friends from 6-8 p.m., Friday, August 19, 2022, at the Shorey-Nichols Funeral Home, 191 Hartland Ave., Pittsfield. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, August 21, at the funeral home. A committal will follow at the Pine Grove Cemetery, in Hartland.
