BRADENTON, Fla. – Margaret Jean Saunders, 67, of Bradenton, Fla. passed away on August 11, 2022.
“Peggy” was born on May 1, 1953 to Louise and Joseph Saunders of Readfield. She graduated from Winthrop High School and the University of Maine at Farmington.
Peggy loved nature and animals, of which she had many. She was a true and caring friend, with a loving, compassionate and creative nature, as well as a fiercely independent spirit. She tried her hand at several different businesses, moved from Maine to Hilton Head, S.C., and finally settled in Sarasota, Fla. to be close to her father.
Peggy was predeceased by her parents.
She is survived by her brother, Harry Saunders; her stepmother, Eva Saunders; her niece, Kathrina Saunders, and her nephew, West Saunders; as well as her many dear friends. May God rest her soul.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Manatee County or
Tidewell Hospice of Southwest Florida.
