Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area plan to offer a Healing through Mosaics workshop for grieving children and teens.
The workshop is scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, at the Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area Community Center, 304 Main St.
According to a news release from Hospice Volunteers, expressing feelings and experiences through art can be a powerful tool in healing. This healing arts activity gives children and teens the opportunity to honor a loved one’s memory and helps to express feelings of grief and loss while creating a mosaic memory box or wall hanging.
Create a Mosaic will be facilitated by professional glass artist Lucie Boucher. For more information about Boucher, visit stoneridgeglass.com.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
