AUGUSTA — Marshall Communications was recently honored with a Golden Arrow Award from the Maine Public Relations Council at the 2022 Virtual MPRC Awards Ceremony. Now celebrating more than 30 years in the business, Marshall Communications has won numerous Golden Arrow awards over the years.

Marshall Communications was awarded gold in Innovative Use of Social Media for a food influencer program on behalf of their client, the Maine Office of Tourism. The original program focused on bringing food influencers to Maine but due to travel restrictions placed during the pandemic, it had to be reinvented. The revised campaign involved delivering iconic Maine foods and brands to the influencers at home to prepare and promote on their social channels with a goal of keeping Maine top of mind as a travel and food destination during the unusual time, according to a news release from the public relations firm.

CEO Nancy Marshall states, “It’s always an honor to receive this recognition from the MPRC. I’m proud of the Marshall Communications team and their commitment to deliver results for our clients. For this award, it’s particularly rewarding to create a unique approach and achieve impressive social media results for our longest tourism client, despite the challenges of the pandemic.”

MPRC award winners were selected through a detailed peer review process. The annual awards recognize the best communications, public relations and marketing work of individuals and agencies in the state.
