Sally was an artist, photographer, educator, environmentalist along with many other talents. Sally attended Winslow High School and then Curry College where she excelled in both athletics and academics.
Sally leaves behind the love of her life, Constance Hatch, together they had great adventures and built a beautiful home in Belfast. She leaves her mother, Joyce Brophy of Winslow; sister, Kelly Frederick and husband, John Frederick of South Portland, sister, Jan Brophy Homer of Winslow; niece, Christina Spinney; and great-niece, Summer Spinney of Winslow; also, a good good dog, Buzz, cats Nova and Yoyo.
Sally and Conny have many friends that she loved and talked about often and our family were able to witness the amount of support and love among them through this journey. Our family would like to thank each and every one of them for all the help, support, and love you have showed us all.
“Afterglow”
I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one.
I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles
when life is done.
I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly
down the ways.
Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
I’d like the tears of those who grieve to dry
before the sun.
Of happy memories that I leave when my life is done.
There will be a private family service at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please support a local artist, and, if in Belfast, stop by Local Color and leave a note in the book letting Sally know
you were there.
