Gardiner Cub Scout Pack 627 plans to host an open house event from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at the Gardiner Commons, near the gazebo.
There will be activities and games for all ages.
Pack 672 is a family group for students in kindergarten through fifth grade.
Scouts and leadership from Troop 672 will be present for any youth grade six and up interested in Scouting, according to a news release from Chuck Mahaleris, district vice chairman for Kennebec Valley District of Scouting.
Scouting is a year-round activity developing character, skills, physical fitness, and citizenship. The pack meets at 6 p.m. Tuesdays during the school year and numerous times throughout the year for outings.
Those who can’t make it to the open house can sign up anytime throughout the year by sending a message of interest on the Pack 672 Facebook page.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
