GARDINER — Troop 672 celebrated its 90th birthday Aug. 15 by building a mini library for Christ Church Episcopal as a service project, according to Sarah Hubert, a parent of a Scout and Troop volunteer.

“The Scouts and leaders also built a bottle bin that is behind Christ Church for people to place their bagged returnables in as a way to raise funds for Troop activities,” Hubert said in a news release from Chuck Mahaleris, district vice chairman for the Kennebec Valley District of Scouting.

The Scouts and parents and leaders joined together for a potluck meal as a way to connect after a busy summer of Scouting activities.
