MADISON – Jacquelyn “Jackie” Steward of Madison passed away peacefully at Maplecrest Rehabilitation Center in Madison on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022.

Jackie was born in Madison on July 26, 1938, a daughter of Garth and Mary Collins.

Jackie grew up in Madison and worked at Norridgewock Shoe until they closed. Later she became a beloved babysitter to many area children.

She is survived by her husband Arnold Steward, daughter Angela Steward, her sons, Arnold Steward Jr., Micheal Steward and his wife Julie. Two granddaughters, Heather Hall and Ashley Hayden and four great grandchildren. Her sisters, Elayne Charron, Roxanne Cannon and husband Paul, Rhonda Collins, her brother Garth Collins and his wife Debbie, brother-in-law Brad Mitchell and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, Garth and Mary Collins, her sister Marilyn Mitchell and her brother John Collins.

The family wishes to thank all the nurses and staff at Maplecrest for the outstanding care they gave to Jackie.

A graveside service will be held in Forest Hill Cemetery on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022, at 1 p.m.
