Gertrude Mae (Quimby) Robbins

NORTH ANSON – Gertrude Mae (Quimby) Robbins, born Nov. 1, 1930, in Starks, departed from this earth and went on to heaven on August 28, 2022. She was 91 years old. She was the daughter of Frank L. Quimby and Elsie Ladd. Her life was spent taking care of children generation after generation. Gertrude married Danville E. Robbins on June 16, 1949.

She was predeceased by her parents; and her sisters Dorothy Witham, Thelma Beane, Ethel Foss, Shirley Paine, her brother Herbert Quimby; and stepdaughter, Joanne Wheeler and her daughter Rhonda Wheeler.

She was mother to Gary Robbins and wife Laurie, and daughter Beverly Foss and husband James Foss. She was grandmother to John Robbins and partner Danielle, Danielle Robbins and her partner Prescott, Dawn and husband Dale Dickey, and Dan and wife Jessica Foss, Russell, as well as Ronnie Wheeler; the great-grandmother of Kaylene, DJ, Josh, Riley, Arianna, Hannah, Hunter, Ian, Dylan, and Ryker; a great-great-grandmother to Kinsley and Dillon.

Her family would like to thank the staff of Orchard Park in Farmington for her wonderful care.

Her journey with the Lord, which is the most important journey of all, took place at Sandy River Chapel in Starks, under the pastors Janice Quimby and Ray Champagne. She is now home with Jesus.

Her memorial service will be held at the Sunset Cemetery in North Anson at 9:00 on Saturday, Sept. 3.
