SPRING HILL, Fla. – Laurie Jean Jacques, 61, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 after a long and courageous battle with cancer with her loving husband, Robert E. Jacques by her side.

Laurie loved to read, go to far away places, and use her imagination! She made many friends over the places they traveled and will hope that she left fond memories for the ones she left behind.

Laurie was born Oct. 16, 1960 in Waterville. and the daughter of the late Clifford and Joan Dixon of Gardiner. She graduated from Gardiner in 1979 and went onto work for Hannaford in many different positions. In 1993, still remaining with Hannaford they made the move to North Carolina until they moved to Spring Hill, Fla. in 2016.

Laurie is survived by her husband, Robert E Jacques; two sons Michael Sullivan and wife Vanessa of Readfield and Todd Sullivan of West Gardiner, two stepchildren Heidi (Jacques), Muskavitch of Salem, N.H. and Christopher Jacques of Centreville, Va. She is also survived by four sisters and two brothers. Ann of Florida, Cathy, Colleen, Cliff (Skip) , Mary and Peter all from near Gardiner Maine. Laurie is also survived by two grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

There will be no services, just a private celebration with family at a later date.
