FARMINGDALE —  Madeline Wagner scored two goals to lead the Winthrop field hockey to a 5-1 win over Hall-Dale in a Mountain Valley Conference game on Monday.

Lauryn Wood, Bella Littler and Izzy Folsom added goals for the Ramblers (4-1).

Lizzy Bickford scored a goal for the Bulldogs (1-2-1), assisted by Torie Tibbetts. Goalie Jade Graham made 19 saves, as the Bulldog defense fought through 23 corners by Winthrop.

 

MOUNT VIEW 0, ERSKINE 0, 2OT: The Eagles and Mustangs fought through four quarters and two overtimes but neither team could score and settled for a scoreless draw.

Mackenzie Toner made eight saves for Erskine while Kelsy Stevenson stopped nine shots for Mount View.

MT. BLUE 0, SKOWHEGAN 0: The Cougarsand the River Hawks finished a defensive battle in a scoreless draw in Skowhegan.

Ryan Donoghue saved 15 shots in net for Skowhegan (0-2-1), while on the other side Chase Ranger made seven saves for Mt. Blue (1-2-1).

WINTHROP 4, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 0: The Ramblers  jumped out to an early lead and shut out the Phoenix  in Winthrop.

Iker Penniman scored twice, Teddy Wagner and Evan Bilodeau both scored one goal in the shut out win. Gabe Corey assisted on three of Winthrop’s (1-1-0) goals.

Dirigo/Spruce Mountain’s (1-3-0) goalkeeper Nate Holland saved 10 shots while Winthrop’s Jaxson August made three stops.

 

MT. ABRAM 9, OAK HILL 0: Charlie Pye scored four goals to lead the Roadrunners (3-1-0) to an MVC win over the Raiders (1-3-0) in Wales.

José Torres, Kaden Pillsbury, Killian Pillsbury, Morgan Thibodeau and Harrison Thomas added goals for Mt. Abram.

Mt. Abram outshot Oak Hill 23-2.
