Priscilla Viles

FALLON, Nev. – Priscilla Viles, 68, of Fallon, Nev., passed away with her family by her side, on Aug. 21, 2022, after a short illness.

Priscilla was born on Sept. 15, 1953 to Constance (M. Frary) and Joseph C. Viles in Skowhegan. She spent her childhood in East Madsion and graduated from Madison High School in 1972.

She is survived by her life partner of 14 years, Steve Mahoney of Fallon, Nev.; her daughter, Celeste Whelan Chartrand (Joshua), their daughters Jayla Gentry and Kaylynn Chartrand of Norridgewock; her son and family, Steve Learned (Kymberlie); and grandchildren Kendra, Alex, and Anna of Colebrook, N.H. Priscilla’s surviving siblings are Lesley Patton, Reno, Nev., Constance “Happy” Dickey (Charles) of Hampden, and Joseph “Skip” Viles (Nancy Stefani) of Norridgewock; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents Connie and Joe; her beloved son, Clint Cody; and recently her sister, Susan M. Charrier (Ronald) of Poulsbo, Wash.

Pril was one of a kind and lived life her way. She always kept people guessing! She was a hard worker, a helper, loved her friends and a good time. She was boisterous, spoke her mind and everyone knew what she was thinking. She enjoyed playing cards, dice, reading and chasing good sunsets. She often cooked for a crowd, and especially enjoyed helping her son, Chef Steve, in the kitchen preparing food at Celeste and Josh’s wedding. After Celeste graduated, Pril moved to Reno, Nev. to experience a new life. While out there she started Sunshine Cleaning, her own successful business which also provided many friendships. After retiring, she and Steve worked on ranches throughout Nevada and took care of acres of alfalfa and hay fields for several years. Finally, they settled back in Fallon, Nev.

Priscilla was an active member of the Skowhegan Eagles club for 20-plus years. As an auxiliary member she had several positions within the club, truly enjoyed her time, and gained many friendships that last to this day. Priscilla will be missed by many and will always hold a special place in our hearts.

There will be a celebration of life at the Eagles Club at a later date.
