Pinnacle Tree Professional Arborists based in Augusta has purchased Hawksley Tree Care of Windsor. Tom Hawksley, the owner of the Windsor business since 1991, announced earlier this year he was retiring and in search of a buyer. After fielding numerous offers, Hawksley determined selling the business to Pinnacle Tree was his best option.

“I had a lot of choices,” said Hawksley, according to a news release from Pinnacle. “But in the end, I knew that Pinnacle Tree embodied the quality of work and range of services my customers have come to expect.”

“We look forward to expanding our footprint in central Maine as well as offering our services to Hawksley Tree Service’s loyal customers,” said Pinnacle tree owner Harry Wolfington. “We offer similar services to that of Hawksley Tree Service, so this is a perfect opportunity for our business to grow.”

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the sale was finalized in September. Pinnacle Tree offers a range of services including hazardous tree removal, aesthetic pruning, elevations for lake, ocean and river views, storm damage, and brown tail moth eradication.
