Gary Alan Ricci

ROME – In Loving Memory of Gary Alan Ricci, 69, of Rome, Maine, who passed away as he wished peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Friday, Sept. 16, 2022.

Gary was born on Nov. 3, 1952, in Pittsfield, Mass, the oldest of four children to Frances (Adornetto) Ricci and the late Albert Ricci. He was raised in Pittsfield, Mass. and was a 1970 graduate of Pittsfield High School. He continued his education at Northeastern University, Boston, graduating in 1975 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Gary was recruited to work at Central Maine Power Company where his career spanned 35 years. He was a great mentor to many at CMP where he willingly shared his knowledge and expertise. Following retirement, he continued to enjoy life riding his Harley motorcycle with friends, feeding the deer in his backyard, riding his yard tractor, and enjoying many gatherings with family and friends. He also enjoyed spending time reading to young children at the Belgrade Central School.

Gary will always be remembered for his passionate and unique approach to many things, both in his work and personal life. He often contributed to those less fortunate with a kind heart and incredible generosity.

Gary will be missed by so many. He is survived by his amazing mother, Frances (Adornetto) Ricci; his brothers Ron Ricci and John Ricci, and his sister Judy (Ricci) White; nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his best friend of 30+ years, Tami Clark, and her loving family. She was his soulmate and life partner for the last six years and most recently as his caregiver advocating for all good things on his behalf when he could no longer speak. He is also survived by his daughter Aimee Dietz and her three daughters. He was predeceased by his father, Albert Ricci, and has now reunited with him.

A special thank you to Jessica, Erica, Kristen, and Theresa of Maine General Hospice and Jessica from Mainely Eldercare for their incredible compassion and care both for Gary and Tami.

Gary has requested no services. A celebration of life will be held for family and friends on Sunday, Oct. 2, at the Winslow VFW, 175 Veteran Dr, Winslow, from 1:00 to 5:00 pm.
