CANAAN – James H. Squires, 71, of Canaan passed away at his home on Sept. 13, 2022. James was born in Central Falls, R.I. on May 25, 1951 the son of Frank and Dorothy Squires. Following high school he enlisted in the United States Air Force.
He survived by his wife Doris Squires; his daughter Laurie Maloney, stepdaughter Frances Jones, stepsons Earl Evers and Kenneth Evers Sr.; his siblings Patricia Thieert, Judith Hall, Madeline Aoussa and Moreen Marcil; his granddaughter Asilin Maloney, and nine step grandchildren, Crissy Torres, BruceBurdwood, Brandon Burdwood, Jennifer Evers, Lindsey Evers, Kevin Evers, Kenneth Evers Jr., Kristie Wagner and Josh Evers.
He is preceded in death by sister Janice Leblanc and brother Richard Squires
The graveside service will be held at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery Civic Center Dr., Augustao n Thursday Sept. 22, at noon.
