Leeds, Turner and Wayne are neighboring towns. I live in Wayne, and worked 25 years in Lewiston as that city renewed itself. No change is easy, but we see new ideas sprout and develop alongside long-held community values of work and recreation.
In the newly-constituted District 91 we have a chance to look forward and elect as our representative Hildie Lipson. Our adult daughters grew up together, and I have known Hildie all these years as she has served our local and larger communities in matters of faith and health and justice.
There is a need for thoughtful and skilled participation as Maine emerges from the pandemic. What are the next steps forward? Hildie has worked for several local, regional and state organizations in matters of sound financial planning and prudent use of resources. Hildie would bring human values, experience, sound judgement and, simultaneously, sound management skills to the House.
