A Luck of Draw fundraiser is set for Saturday, Oct. 8, at Peters Shortier American Legion Post No. 16, 217 Waterville Rd in Skowhegan.

Funds raised will help pay for burial costs for David Record, 27, a father of two children. Record, formerly of Madison, died Aug. 16, according to a news release from event organizer Holly Hannon.

Doors open at 9 a.m.; drawings start at noon. Admission costs $2 for adults, and $5 for a book of tickets.

There will be a raffle table, and 50/50 with tickets for $1 or six for $5.
