WILTON — The Village Makers of Wilton have planned Meet the Makers for 3-7 p.m. on the second Saturdays of October, November and December.
Those who attend can see demonstrations by guest artisans, meet other makers, and partake of craft snacks and beverages — all from local businesses.
Vera’s Iron & Vine, 319 Main St., will offer a demonstration by watercolor artist Joanna Ashford along with light refreshments on Saturday, Oct. 8.
Crafter’s Cave, also at 319 Main St., plans to host George Ramos, who will share his techniques in the art of finger weaving.
The Village Makers of Wilton is an organization of small business owners who want to increase awareness of and promote sustainable local economic development.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
