Dyanne Lee Carey

BRADLEY – Dyanne Lee Carey, 76, passed away unexpectantly on Oct 1, 2022. She was born Aug 9, 1946. She lived most of her life in Maine, and a short time in California.

She worked as a waitress, including at the original Ken’s in Skowhegan and many years at the Governor’s in Old Town. She was a force to be reckoned with. She loved her family and lived for her children and grandchildren. Christmas was her favorite holiday. Her favorite places to go were Old Orchard Beach and Hawaii.

She enjoyed making mittens, crafting, quilting, going out to eat, yard sales, and taking vacations.

She was predeceased by her mother Ruth Carter; grandchildren Jason Sorey and Jesika Withee; her son Ronald Withee, Jr.; her brother George Carter, and her sisters Phyllis Jones and Paula Rivera.

She is survived by her loving husband of almost 33 years and her full-time caretaker Calvin Carey; her brother Kenneth Carter; her daughters Veronica Perkins and her husband Jim, Michele Pasierb, Kim James and her husband Jamie, Paula Stewart and her husband Dan; her son Lane Carey and his wife Cheryl; her grandchildren Eric Perkins and his significant other Shawnna, Craig Withee, Ashley Brouillette, Seth Farrington, Danielle Withee, Morgan Sorey, Dakota Liberty, and grandson Cody; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and friends.

Over the last several years, Parkinson’s Disease progressively took her mobility, strength, energy, memory, and independence.

A celebration of life will be held at 12 p.m. on Oct. 7, at United Baptist Church, 86 Middle St., Old Town, ME.
