I am writing this letter to encourage you to vote for Alicia Lawson for school board in Winthrop.
In the more than 10 years I have known Alicia, she has impressed me with her love, compassion and understanding for children. She recognizes that the work of a school board member is to serve all children working with the community and faculty to continuously improve student growth and achievement.
Alicia is approachable, contemplative and collaborative. Understanding that sometimes the work is to listen and always respect others’ views, Alicia will strive to build consensus. She will come prepared (as she is a lifelong learner), act professionally and behave responsibly. She is a woman of integrity and demonstrates all of the five core values that the Winthrop schools and parents are working to instill in our children.
Alicia is committed to this public duty and accepts the awesome responsibility to serve the community of Winthrop. Please join me in electing her.
