I am writing in support of my friend and colleague Diane Wilson for Register of Deeds. Diane has worked at the Registry of Deeds for 25 years and prior to that worked in the treasurer’s office here at the county. She lives in Litchfield with her husband Dave, who is retired military, and has two grown children.

As deputy she has been running the office flawlessly under Beverly Bustin-Hatheway and would continue to do so. Property records and transfer taxes are a very important function. In these busy real estate times I am sure title attorneys would agree now is not the time to lose the experience of the this quiet, hardworking deputy, now acting register.

Please keep Diane Wilson at the helm of the Kennebec County Registry of Deeds.
