Agnes Quattromani

ANSON – Our family lost a wonderful, independent, and one-of-a-kind special lady. Agnes Quattromani passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2022, at the age of 87. Agnes was born in Jay, Maine, the daughter of Mary Kollar and Albert Drottar.

Agnes married George Quattromani on Jan. 3, 1981, in Anson. They resided in Westerly, Rhode Island, for many years before moving to Brighton Plantation and into the beautiful home they built. George passed away in October of 2004. Agnes returned to Anson in 2016 where she enjoyed being ‘back home’ and closer to family.

She worked as a transcriptionist at Redington Fairview General Hospital in Skowhegan, Maine for many years before finishing her distinguished career with General Dynamics Electric Boat in New London, Connecticut. She also spent time working at the Skowhegan State Fair in the Arts and Crafts Building during her retirement years. She herself won many ribbons in this building for the items she entered showing her creativity and talent.

She was an exceptional quilter with impeccable skills.

Her beautiful masterpieces adorn the homes of family and friends alike. We cherish the memories of her time in Janome Garden, the name her son gave to her elaborate workspace filled with Janome sewing machines and tons of cloth, and where she would sew to her heart’s content. It is also the place where she spent many happy hours with her close sewing friends. We are forever grateful for these friendships!

Agnes was predeceased by her parents, her husband, infant daughter Mary, infant son Lynn, and her sister Patricia Noel.

She is survived by her five children and two stepchildren – Deborah (Clint) Brown, Reed (Cindy) Jordan, Lawrence Jordan, Mark (Barbara) Jordan, Dana (Karla) Jordan, Jamie Quattromani, and Wade (Della) Quattromani. She is the beloved grandmother of Stacey Brown, Amy Price, Rachel Brown, Matthew Jordan, Timothy Jordan, Randi Gonneville, Lauren Gonneville, Karleigh Gonneville, Wesley Jordan, Derik Jordan, Alexie Jordan, Ryan Quattromani, Wade Quattromani, Jr., and David Quattromani, along with their families. She is also survived by her brother Stephan Kollar, sister-in-law Marylou Sanker, brother-in-law Frank Quattromani, and many nieces and nephews.

Always up for an adventure, her likely way of being the center of attention, and her witty way of sharing a story from the past, Agnes will be missed. We love and thank you for being you!
