Mainers are entering a new winter season with roller-coaster heating oil prices, prompting many to change their habits and look into new sources of heating.
High-efficiency heat pumps are gaining in popularity, with a first-in-the-country Efficiency Maine project seeking to study the impact of retrofitting mobile homes entirely with heat pumps.
